Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie hit the coast of Airlie Beach in Queensland in March 2017 causing extensive damage in its path, before travelling south causing significant damage and flooding in the populous areas of South East Queensland and Northern Rivers. These areas continue to deal with the floods and aftermath of Cyclone Debbie, GCM have generously contributed $2000 towards the disaster relief.
Ride to Conquer Cancer
Global Civil and Mining (GCM) are proud supporters of the Ride to Conquer Cancer 2015, GCM employees Liam Keegan & Andrew Blackburn completed the 208km ride from South Perth through Serpentine to Mandurah and back up the coast to South Perth over 2 days, battling the terrains of Perth’s southern suburbs, raising a huge total of $11,289.00!
Global Surface Mining donated $3000.00 towards the group, with the money raised at the ride going to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, Western Australia’s premier adult medical research institute.

Royal Flying Doctor Service
Global Surface Mining donated $5000.00 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service in 2015. The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a not for profit organisation, which means all money donated goes towards essential health services and equipment including ventilators and heart monitors. Global Surface Mining have proudly donated to the RFDS for the past four years.
Telethon is a non for profit charity to help children’s hospitals and research in children’s diseases. Telethon has a philosophy of financially supporting the medical and social welfare of children and young people. Global Surface Mining proudly donated $3500.00 in 2015.
Global Civil and Mining Group have supported Variety Bash Charity donating $5000. The Variety Bash is Australia's largest motoring event with participants traveling to rural parts of Australia. Raising money for disadvantage and special needs children.
For the past three consecutive years GCM have supported the Sh##box Rally. The funds from the rally goes towards a large range of cancer research including various cancers forms, genetic studies, improving health systems for Indigenous patients, and supporting cancer patients and survivors.
